No two weddings need be the same, so throw away the rulebook, the clichés and old traditions and decide what's authentic to you when you say your wedding vows to each other. I'll be there to capture every real and raw emotion, as well as helping to make a few unforgettable moments happen (organising the first look with your bridal party, making sure you've got an epic location for reading private vows to each other)

It's not just about how it looks on camera (although, of course, that's what I'm super passionate about) but it's about how it feels to you both in the moment. The backdrop, the sounds, taking things slow enough to really revel in the moment so the day doesn't fly past you in a blur. As I always say "it's your wedding, not a photoshoot" - and that's something I truly believe and live by. I'll be careful to make sure you have as much time actually talking to your partner and guests as you do getting photos with them.

As your wedding photographer, what I hope to capture are photographs that will last a lifetime, that you can put into an album and open up years from now fall in love with all over again, that you can pass down through generations and look back on fondly...

Throughout your wedding day we'll carve out some time to whisk the two of you away for your couples photos, I try to do this before your wedding feast, whilst you're looking and feeling your absolute best and then again around sunset for that warm evening glow to get those golden hour shots. We take a walk, the two of you have a moment to chat to each other about the day so far, and before you know if we've captured magic.

Want a wedding photographer who can help you orchestrate a champagne pop/spray photo? Check. Want someone who's going to get down on the dance floor and capture those wild moments whilst simultaneously shots are being flung back? Check. Want me to get your nan up for a little boogie so we can get a precious photo of her dancing, even just for a split second? Check. You've booked a saxophonist and want action shots of the party that ensues? Check.

It's a bit of a superpower of mine, really. To you both, it'll just feel like I'm another one of your guests hanging out, who happens to be taking photos. Brides are forever telling me it feels like they've got another bridesmaid on hand, and when the time comes for me to leave in the evening nobody is ready for the fun to be over (yes, even the camera shy couples want me to stay for the party!) I'm not scared to get involved in the action, but I'm discreet enough to blur into the background whilst doing so - perks of hiring the extroverted introvert photographer...
